Thomas S. Crewson, a distinguished Sand Springs High School graduate of 1950, went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University. Following his service in the Army, he pursued a legal education at Tulsa University. In 1985, Crewson transitioned from his role as a juvenile referee to a special judge under a new state law. His judicial career advanced in 1987 when he was appointed district judge by Governor Henry Bellmon, and he soon became chief juvenile judge. Over the years, Judge Crewson held various esteemed positions, including Presiding Judge of the Municipal Court of Tulsa, Juvenile Court Referee, Special District Judge for the juvenile division, and Chief Judge of the Juvenile Division. He concluded his 17-year tenure on the bench with retirement in 2002.
