An Oklahoma native with deep roots in Sand Springs Schools, Palk has earned acclaim for his work in combating violent crime and terrorism. His impressive journey, marked by notable awards and significant roles, culminated in his appointment as a U.S. District Judge, reflecting his profound impact on both state and federal justice.

Scott Palk, an Oklahoma native and product of Sand Springs Schools, has built a distinguished career in law and public service. Commissioned as a U.S. District Judge in 2017, Palk’s journey began with a BS from Oklahoma State University and a JD from the University of Oklahoma. His career in law enforcement is marked by significant achievements, including multiple “Prosecutor of the Year” awards and notable accolades for his work in combating violent crime, gangs, and domestic terrorism.

Before his appointment to the federal bench, Palk served as Dean of Students at the OU College of Law and held various roles as a prosecutor. His extensive experience includes prosecuting high-profile cases as an assistant district attorney and assistant U.S. attorney, leading efforts in drug enforcement and terrorism investigations. Palk’s contributions earned him numerous honors, such as the FBI’s Director’s Certificate of Appreciation and the DEA’s Certificate of Appreciation. In October 2017, he was nominated by President Donald J. Trump to serve as a U.S. District Judge, further solidifying his impact on the legal community.
