Justice Robert D. Simms, a Sand Springs High School Class of 1943 graduate, has had a distinguished career in the legal field. Appointed to the State Court of Criminal Appeals in 1971, he served with distinction and held the position of Chief Justice from 1985 to 1986. A graduate of the University of Tulsa School of Law, Simms has also served as Assistant County Attorney, Chief Criminal Prosecutor, and Tulsa County Attorney. His contributions to the legal system have been marked by dedication and leadership.
