In 1980, he was honored as a “1950s All-Star Basketball Player” by the Jim Thorpe Athletic Hall of Fame. This accolade highlighted his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Further cementing his legacy, Courter was inducted into the University of Tulsa Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993, becoming the 7th basketball player in the school’s history to receive this prestigious honor.
