Janet Rutland Eicher, a dynamic performer and dedicated community member, has captivated audiences with her versatile talents. From her early days at Charles Page High School to her illustrious career in music and theater, Janet’s journey reflects a deep passion for the arts and an unwavering commitment to her community.

Janet Rutland Eicher, a proud 1975 graduate of Charles Page High School, has woven an extraordinary tapestry of music and theater throughout her life. Born on September 23, 1957, in Okemah, Oklahoma, Janet was deeply involved in high school activities such as select choir, band flag corps, drama, Music Masters, and Student Council.

She attended Oklahoma State University from 1975-1977, where she was a Chi Omega sorority member. Janet’s love for music led her to join the Tim Henry Show Band in 1979, and she continued to perform at local venues upon her return to Oklahoma.

In June 1984, Janet married Shelby Eicher, and together they raised three talented sons—Nathan, Paul, and Isaac. The Eicher family has performed bluegrass music at various festivals, including the 2001 Sandite Hall of Fame.

Janet’s theatrical career includes starring roles in productions such as Always…Patsy Cline, Honky Tonk Angels, and The Full Monty. Her summer stage cabaret shows at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center include Wonderful, Recipe for Love, and Pink Dirt Paradise. She has also been featured at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and participated in the Divas for H.O.P.E. benefit.

In addition to her performances, Janet has produced three CDs and worked with local dentists, Dr. Tom Shanks and Hammond Family Dentistry. Her contributions to both the arts and her community continue to inspire and enrich those around her.
