Harlan Pinkerton, Jr.’s journey from Valedictorian of Charles Page High School’s inaugural class to a decorated Air Force pilot and esteemed legal expert exemplifies a life of dedication and service. His remarkable achievements both in the military and legal fields, coupled with his unwavering commitment to community and veterans, highlight a legacy of excellence and leadership.

Harlan Pinkerton, Jr., a 1960 Valedictorian of Charles Page High School’s first graduating class, went on to a distinguished career marked by exceptional service and leadership. After earning a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1964. Harlan served as a Fighter and Instructor Pilot Captain, completing 123 combat missions in Vietnam and Korea, and receiving several military honors, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Following his honorable discharge, Harlan obtained his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University College of Law in 1975. He has since practiced law before the U.S. Supreme Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and all Federal courts in Oklahoma. Since 1976, he has served as City Prosecutor for Sand Springs.

Active in Rotary International, the Sand Springs Airport Advisory Board, and the Oklahoma Bar Association, Harlan is also an Elder at Sand Springs Presbyterian Church. He passionately coordinates the Veterans Day program at CPHS, offering students the chance to hear from distinguished veterans. Harlan and his wife Lou are proud parents of four grown children and seven grandsons.
