Frank Peck, a 1972 graduate of Charles Page High School, excelled in both academics and athletics during his high school years. He served as Student Council President in his senior year and was a key member of the Sandite Wrestling program, contributing to the 1971 State Championship team. He won two individual State Championships in his weight class, which led to his recruitment by the University of Oklahoma Wrestling team, where he began his studies in the fall of 1972.
While at OU, Frank qualified and competed in the 1974 and 1975 National Championship tournaments for Sooner teams that finished 1st (1974) and 2nd (1975).
After graduating from OU in Finance, Mr. Peck supplemented his degree with additional accounting hours necessary to qualify for the CPA exam. These studies allowed him to begin his professional career with the international accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Company in their Oklahoma City office. While at Arthur Andersen, Frank worked in both the Audit and Tax Divisions. As the Oklahoma economy deteriorated in the mid-1980s, Mr. Peck worked temporary assignments in the Chicago and Boston offices of Arthur Andersen, resulting in offers to transfer.
After watching the Oklahoma oil and gas, banking, and real estate markets tumble, and wanting to raise his two young children in Oklahoma, Mr. Peck made the difficult decision to leave his position as Tax Manager with Arthur Andersen and take a partnership position with a health care consulting and accounting firm in Norman. His experience and growth with this entity allowed him to start Peck and Associates, PC in 2002.
Frank has now been consulting with physicians and health care entities for the past 35 years. Peck and Associates, PC is an accounting and consulting firm providing every level of business services to physician and healthcare entities. These services include accounting and tax services, practice management, medical billing, credentialing, business valuations, and merger and contract negotiations. Peck and Associates has employed up to 35 professionals and is currently providing medical billing services as far north as South Dakota and as far south as Houston, TX. Firm personnel have been engaged to conduct physician chart and compliance reviews in over two dozen states.
Although the decision to remain in Oklahoma was a difficult one, Frank has enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to have long-term relationships and contribute to the financial success of hundreds of individual physicians and their practices. He has worked with numerous physician families whose children are now physician clients.
Frank is an expert on medical practices and physician issues, and as such has provided court testimony on numerous cases and issues. He has also been contracted to function as Practice Manager and/or Practice Administrator for numerous entities over the past many years. He has served on the University of Oklahoma School of Accounting Board of Visitors as well as the Oklahoma State Society of CPA’s Tax Committee.
Frank has been married to his wife Kathleen for the past 44 years. During their early married years, Kathleen was a teacher but chose to leave the workforce to nurture and tutor their two children, Mary Jane and Geoffrey. Although Frank elected to stay in Oklahoma to raise his family, his children each chose a different path, with both attending and graduating from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. During their childhood years, Frank was pleased to coach Mary Jane and Geoff, as well as their friends and peers, in wrestling, basketball, and softball.
Frank and Kathleen met at the University of Oklahoma and have lived in Norman from their college years until the present day.
